Matte electroplated finish  ·  Two blooms per earring  ·  Three colors  ·  925 sterling silver posts  ·  Free shipping  ·  30-day returns

Two blooms. One earring. All the outfit needs.

A large flower blooms at your lobe, a smaller one falls from it. Five soft petals on each, ridged and pressed like they were lifted from a botanical print, with a cluster of bright gold stamens at every center. The whole thing sits in a matte finish rather than the usual mirror shine, which is why they read as sculpture rather than costume.

A pair of these is the entire accessory. No necklace competing, no stack needed. You put on a plain dress, a white shirt, a linen top, and these do all the work.

Matte, not mirror

Most flower earrings at this size come with a high-polish finish that catches every overhead light and reads a little too "party jewelry" for daytime. Bloomfall goes the other way: a soft matte surface across every petal, with only the stamens at the center left in a small burst of bright gold.

The trade-off is what makes them wearable in daytime. Matte petals reflect ambient light softly rather than flashing it back, which is why these read as "considered accessory" at lunch and still hold up under evening light. The bright stamen cluster is the one point of real sparkle, and it does the work of a small stone at the center of each flower without actually being one.

Each petal is molded with fine ridging that runs from the center out toward the tip, the same way real petals have veins. In photographs, that ridging is what keeps the surface from looking flat.

Real weight, real metal

These are a substantial pair of earrings. Each one weighs about 22 grams, which is roughly four US quarters, or just under an ounce. That's the weight of real metal jewelry rather than the hollow plastic or lacquered resin you'll find at costume price points.

We tell you this up front because it changes how you'll want to wear them. Bloomfall is a "put them on for the evening" pair, not a "wear them from 7 am through the workday" pair. They're built for dinners, weddings, portrait sessions, birthday parties, and the two or three hours where you want your outfit to actually register. If you're looking for a flower earring you can wear all day without noticing, our Petalfall Threaders are the lighter pick.

Many customers who wear big statement earrings regularly add a clear silicone earring lifter, a small flat back that redistributes weight across more of the lobe. They're a few dollars at any drugstore or on Amazon and make substantial earrings sit noticeably higher on the ear.

Where they belong

Summer dresses, linen, and anything the neckline calls attention to.
Big flower earrings were made for the season when you're wearing less. A sundress with a plain neckline, a linen tank, a slip dress on vacation — these fill the visual space between your collarbone and your hair without needing a necklace to help.

Dinners and events where the outfit needs one big thing.
The oldest rule in dressing: one statement piece per outfit. When Bloomfall is that piece, you can wear the simplest dress in your closet and still walk in looking put-together.

Weddings you're a guest at, in Ivory.
Bridal season needs earrings that photograph well, don't compete with the bride, and don't require an entire jewelry investment. Ivory reads like porcelain against warm skin and like a fresh flower against cool skin, and the gold stamens tie back to any gold accents on your dress or shoes.

Birthdays, brunches, and any photograph you want to stand out in.
Marigold is the pick when you want to be the person people describe as "wearing yellow" in someone else's phone gallery. Bright colors on the ears photograph better than bright colors on clothing because they frame the face directly.

Three colors, three moods

Gold

A warm matte gold-tone electroplated across every petal, with brighter gold stamens at the center for contrast. The most versatile of the three and the one that suits the widest range of skin tones and wardrobes. Best with neutrals, warm colors, denim, cream, olive, camel, and everything in between.

Marigold

A saturated matte yellow plating with the same bright gold stamens. Named for the flower, and reads like one — bright without being neon, warm without being orange. It pops against every skin tone and is the standout choice for summer, birthdays, tropical trips, and any occasion where "quiet" isn't the goal.

Ivory

A soft off-white matte plating with the same gold stamens at the center. The cleanest and most modern of the three, and the one that suits every skin tone equally well. Reads like porcelain in warm light and like fresh petals in cool light. The obvious pick for wedding guests, spring palettes, and anyone whose wardrobe leans toward white, black, or cool tones.

The things worth knowing

925 sterling silver posts.
The post that goes through your piercing is 925 sterling silver, the same grade used in fine jewelry, which is what most sensitive ears will tolerate. The flower bodies are plated metal alloy — only the parts that touch your piercing are sterling.

Electroplated color, not painted.
Every color across all three variants is electroplated onto the metal, not sprayed or lacquered on. Electroplating bonds the color to the metal surface rather than sitting on top of it, which is why these hold their color far longer than the painted flower earrings you'll find at costume price points.

Sold as a mirrored pair.
Both earrings are made the same way and go on either ear.

Questions we get

Are they heavy?
Yes, they're substantial. Each earring weighs about 22 grams — roughly four US quarters, or just under an ounce. That's the weight of real metal jewelry rather than costume plastic, which is what gives these their look and their price point. It also means we recommend them for a few hours at a time — dinners, weddings, events, portraits — rather than all-day workday wear. Many customers pair them with a clear silicone earring lifter (a few dollars at any drugstore) for extra comfort at longer events.

Can I wear them all day at work?
We wouldn't recommend it. 22 grams sits fine for two to four hours but will tire your lobe by hour eight, and consistent all-day wear of a heavy earring isn't good for the piercing long-term. Save these for evenings, events, and the occasions where you want the outfit to actually register.

Are the posts sterling silver?
Yes, 925 sterling silver posts — the same grade used in fine jewelry. Most sensitive ears tolerate 925 silver well, which is why we chose it for the post despite the flower bodies being plated alloy.

Will the color come off?
The electroplated finish holds up much better than painted or sprayed finishes on similar earrings — the color is bonded to the metal surface rather than sitting on top. That said, no plating lasts forever. Put them on last after perfume and hairspray, take them off before you shower or sleep, keep them away from chlorine and sweat, and wipe them with a soft cloth after wearing. That routine is what turns "a season" into "years."

Will the flowers snag my hair or clothes?
The petal edges are rounded and smooth rather than pointed, and the stamens at the center are small and clustered rather than protruding. Long hair can occasionally catch the connector between the two flowers if you're brushing hard against the earring, but in normal wear they're much less likely to snag than a rhinestone or claw setting.

Which color for my skin tone?
Gold suits warm and neutral tones and is the safest all-purpose pick. Marigold pops against darker skin and photographs beautifully — it's the standout of the three. Ivory works with every skin tone equally, reads soft and modern, and is the obvious pick for wedding guests and cool color palettes. If you can only pick one, Gold. If you can pick two, Gold plus Ivory covers most occasions.

Taking care of them

Electroplated color holds up longer than painted or sprayed finishes, but the single biggest thing you can do for any plated jewelry is keep it away from liquids and friction. Put them on after your perfume, hairspray, moisturizer, and sunscreen have all gone on, and take them off before you shower, swim, exercise, or go to bed. Wipe them with a soft dry cloth after wearing.

Store them lying flat in the pouch they came in, not tossed into a jewelry dish with harder pieces where the petal edges can scrape. No jewelry dips, no ultrasonic cleaners, no chemical polish — plating is thinner than solid metal and those products will strip it.

Try them for 30 days

Wear them out. See how they photograph, how they feel by hour four, whether the color you picked is right for your wardrobe. If they aren't right, send them back within 30 days for a refund. Shipping is on us both ways.
